Sculpting the Slayer

Well, all I can say is sorry I didn't get many pictures between steps. But what has happened is I have carefully begun to carve out small scales in the head and then very carefully brush them down with water. The key is to be loose and not to worry or put too much thought into this kind of detailing so it doesn't look to synthetic. You want it to look natural and organic. So stay loose and go to town. Also you will notice a small texture stamp. I like to use a combination of stamp's to build texture as well. The stamp you see here is from brushing latex on a mushroom. Again, keep a sharp look out for what nature has to offer. Now you can see some carved in detail's on the creature's left back. Along with the mushroom stamp I carve in detail so thing's don't look to synthetic and have a natural feel. Try not to rely to much on texture stamp's. And here's another shot of the right side of the head and I just keep adding some detail and blending it in. No secret to this!!!! Just go for it!!!!

        Step12:
Well everyone we have come to a finish, and here is the final piece. I hope you enjoyed this demo and I will move on to the next one for you with a half face life size creature design. As well as many other's to come............Good luck with all your sculpts.
